LED on Technologies and GermFlare is ready to fight harmful pathogens all around the world.

What are the sustainable development goals ?

The SDG’s are a set of 17 goals and targets defined and adopted by the United Nations Member states in 2015. The goals recognizes that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improves health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth.

States and companies are urged to pursue fulfilling the goals and create partnerships across borders and industries while focusing on sustainable innovation and development.

At LED on Technology we believe it is our duty to take responsibility for the sustainable development goals and understand the challenges the world faces today and we believe if all new companies take part in solving the goals, we can create a better world for the majority of the world’s population by 2030.

At LED on Technologies we understand the challenges the world faces today and we want to take responsibility by working towards fulfilling as many goals as we can.

With our focus on the Sustainable Development Goals we know we can make a difference for our users, the environment and in the production of our products.

Which goals are we actively working with:

# 3 Good Health and Well-Being

# 6 Clean Water and Sanitation

# 9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

# 12 Responsible Consumption and Production

#3 Good Health and Well-Being

Goal #3

As more and more people get access to hospitals, medicine and healthcare professionals the general level of healthcare increases, there is still a need to focus on HealthCare Acquired Infections (HAI) as most people working in the healthcare sector was witnessed in 2020.

The Covid-19 pandemic indicated how quickly an infectious disease was able to spread. But by focusing on how viruses was transmitted the spread was reduced.

GermFlare will decrease the risk of transmitting any harmful pathogen on surfaces and can assist anyone working in the frontline to reduce the risk of contracting a disease

#6 Clean Water and Sanitation

Goal #6

Even though proper sanitation is the most effective method to prevent covid-19 and other harmful pathogen 40% of healthcare facilities worldwide have no soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub.

By promoting better hygiene and sanitation GermFlare wants to contribute to an increased awareness about sanitation, but also to educate and introduce more efficient sanitation routines at hospitals, retirement homes or in other environments considered to be highly vulnerable for diseases.

And by using the unique and pat. pending. technologies in GermFlare we can provide a better solution for clean water and air in the future.

#9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

Goal #9

GermFlare is a product of high quality, reliability and a sustainable development. Our vision is to provide unmatched product through a responsible and sustainable development progress.

Innovation is at the core of GermFlare and has already led to new and better UVC technologies and a market leading product. And by looking at SDG integration into value chains and markets GermFlare provides a highly efficient, sustainable and a more environmental friendly UV-C disinfection tool.

#12 Responsible Consumption and Production

Goal #12

Focus on Responsible Consumption & Production is important as electronic waste grew by 38% but less than 20% was recycled (2010-2019, world wide).

GermFlare is produced by high quality materials, uses a powerful rechargeable Li-Ion battery and is 100% Mercury free.

Most UV-C products uses mercury in their lights. “Exposure to mercury – even small amounts – may cause serious health problems, and is a threat both to humans but also the environment when disposed into the nature.

GermFlare is 100% Mercury free and uses the latest and best LEDs on the market.
